Just a quick post today. I entered this card in the SUO Challenge #131 – Get Well Soon

09.20.15-SUO 131

The Cajun Craze card base is a standard 11 x 4¼, scored & folded at 5½. The accent layer is Bohemian DSP 4 x 5¼. The sentiment is from Perfect Pennants stamped on Very Vanilla in Delightful Dijon and cut out using the Lots of Labels Framelits; I also used the same label to cut the Delightful Dijon backing.

I used the new Curvy Corner Trio Punch on all of the corners of the 3, 1½ x 1½, Delightful Dijon accent pieces.  The flowers are punched out of leftover cardstock from the August Paper Pumpkin kit with the Petite Petals punch. I added Cajun Craze candy dots to the flower centers.

I rather like it. What do you think?

WOOHOO!! Fall is finally arrived (officially Wednesday 9/23/15) - my favorite season of the year! Last weekend we finally got to go camping. We spent a great couple of days at Tippecanoe River State Park. We have never camped there, it's a beautiful park. We enjoyed crisp mornings, warm days, and cool nights around the campfire.

But this weekend it's back to the Craft Room for more card challenges and to start to prepare for October's stamp classes and workshops.

I have 3 cards to share with you today. The 1st is for MOJO415.

   09.20.15-Mojo 415 (2)

This is just under the wire as the challenge closes at 6pm.  I used the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Howl-o-ween Treat stamp set, Boo to You Framelits, and the Note Tag punch. A little masking and a little brayering completed the overall effect of a Halloween card.

The next 2nd card is for the SGGW challenge.

The medallions are 1½ x 1½ pieces of Delightful Dijon punched on all four corners with the new Curvy Corner Trio punch, also in the Holiday Catalog. The flowers were punched out of leftover cardstock from the August Paper Pumpkin kit.

You can find other posts from this amazing group of artists at  https://www.facebook.com/groups/sggwc/?ref=bookmarks

The 3rd card is for the Paper Players challenge PP263

I used the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder again. This time with Very Vanilla and I brayered the trees in soft suede. The leaves were cut with the decorative die from the Square Pillow Box Thinlits

Here's a list of all the products used:

I needed a Get Well Card for a very special male this weekend and this week's Sketch & Stamp Challenge was just what I needed for inspiration. Sketch and Stamp 118  http://www.stampingandbloggingblog.com/sb-sketch-stamp-118/

SB118 - 08.22.15 001

Cardstock: Very Vanilla (basic 5½x4¼, 5x3¾ & 2½x2½), Early Espresso (5¼x4 & 2¾x2¾, 5x½), DSP (Adventure Bound Paper Stack 5x¾)                                       Stamps: Guy Greetings, You've Got This     Embossing Folder:Brick Wall                     Ink: Early Espresso.

Stamp the car on the piece of 2½x2½ before you emboss it. Stamp the car again on a piece of scrap very vanilla and emboss it with clear embossing power. Fussy cut the image out and pop it up with dimensionals. I also stamped the car on the envelope.

Just a quick post as I'm off to visit my mother to celebrate her 92nd birthday.

This is my submission for this week's Paper Player's Challenge.  It's a color challenge this week - Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, and Old Olive.

      PP ColorChallenge257

You can view all the great submissions from some fabulous artists at Paper Players Color Challenge #257.

I used some old standbys, Hardwood, Everything Eleanor, Flower Shop stamp sets and the Pansy Punch. Any sentiment will do depending on the occasion. Small basic pearls embellish the centers of the flowers.

Standard base card 4¼ x 11, scored & folded at 5½ in Crumb Cake cardstock. Featured layer 4 x 5¼ of Crumb Cake stamped with Hardwood stamp and Crumb Cake ink. Flowers are stamped on Bermuda Bay with Bermuda Bay ink; I also punch out the flowers in Old Olive and used them as leaves behinf the flowers. I stamped the Everything Eleanor vine in Old Olive twice across the card. I curled the petals of the flowers with my bone folder and popped them up with dimensionals. All of the products can be purchased in my 24/7 online store, just click on the picture.

I love everything with flowers and butterflies; can't get enough. This week's SGGW Weekend Challenge I used both.

The card base is standard size 4¼ x 11 in Calypso Coral, scored and folded at 5½. I used the new Fluttering embossing folder on the 4 x 5¼ white layer. A piece of ½" DSP from the Pretty Petal DSP Paper Stack was added to break up the embossed layer. The accent piece is 2¾ x 2¾ of Whisper White on another 3 x 3 piece of Calypso Coral.

I stamped, colored, and fussy cut the floral arch x2 from the Timeless Love stamp set and placed them in the corners of the accent piece.  The Pacific Point sentiment is from You've Got This stamp set.

I had a lot fun with this challenge from The Paper Players. Here's the challenge sketch.

and here's my entry

PP 254-Floral Framed

My card base is a piece of Elegant Eggplant cardstock(105126) 4¼x 11, scored and folded at 5½. I used the Labels Collection Framelits (#3 & #4 from the center) to cut out the opening on the base and to create the Wisteria Wonder cardstock (122922) edge around the opening. I stamped the flower arch from Timeless Love stamp set (139408) in StazOn ink (101406) on Whisper White cardstock (100730), colored with Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette, and Wisteria Wonder Stampin' Write Markers. I shaded the flower arch using the Blushing Bride and Garden Green markers. All the while wishing for the return of the Blendabilities  😥  The sentiment in Perfect Plum (126963) is also from Timeless Love - isn't the font stunning? Three little blossoms using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (133787) with small Pearl Basic Jewels (119247) for their centers added the finishing touch.

Then because I have a somewhat sick sense of humor I also created a second card.

PP254-Dog Framed

When I thought of various "frames" this popped into my head.  The dog is just basic punch art that I found on Pinterest. The jail cell is created free hand with various strips of black cardstock (121045) glued together and the cat is taken from the Giggle Greetings stamp set (131065). The letters were made with the Little Letters Thinlits (133730). I can't think of a sentiment to add to the inside or what circumstances I would send this card, but I smiled all the time I was making it.  Do you have any ideas regarding how this card could be used?
