The hardest part of card creating for me is coming up with a layout. Once I decide on a layout, selecting the papers, inks, and embellishments is a piece of cake. That's why I like designing challenges. After spending last weekend creating cards and entering some of my 1st card challenges I think I'm addicted!!
This one has been entered in this this week's Paper Players Challenge. I CASEd this card from one I saw on Pinterest by Anja Thys and added my own stamps and embellishments. Let me know what you think - I like it.
Here are the products I used to create this card. Just click on the pictures and shop online at my store 24/7 - there are no dress codes 🙂

Until next time, keep those fingers inky!!
Hi Everyone - Hope your 4th of July weekend was safe and pleasant. Due to the rain and flooding that took place in Indiana the last of June many of the campgrounds that we frequent were closed so the hubby & I spent a quiet weekend at home. He watched Wimbleton and the Tour de France and I spent time in my craft room. It's rare that I get 3 days in a row to do nothing but stamp. I had a lot of new product from the new 2015 Stampin'Up! catalog that I had yet to play with. I was in stampin' heaven for the better part of 3 days. I have never entered a challenge before so I thought, why not - what do you have to lose? So instead of just one, I entered 2. I've always had a hard time with restraint 🙂 Here are submissions and where they went.
This one went to the Weekly Sketch Challenge by Stamping And Blogging - SB 111
The is next one was submitted to Stamping Gals Gone Wild on their Facebook page.
So what do you think? Leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts.
Until next time, Happy Stampin'
My name is Karen and I am an independent Stampin'Up demonstrator. I recently celebrated my one year anniversary with Stampin'Up and decided it was time to step out of my comfort zone. What better way to do this than to become a blogger. The much anticipated (by me only) design/site was achieved with the help of Heather Wright-Porto (http://www.blogsbyheather.com). Didn't she do a magnificent job? My "posse" is known as the Indiana Inkers.
I'm a Hoosier born and bred and live in a small town in north central Indiana. I've been married to my best friend and biggest cheerleader for 46 years. We have 3 grown sons that are married to beautiful and talented women, and we are blessed with 6 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.
I am a registered nurse and work full time as an auditor at a leading Indiana hospital in Indianapolis. I enjoy all kinds of crafts and have been a crafter since my teenage years, but my favorite medium is paper (scrapbooking, cards, and home décor). Despite being busy with work and home I can always find time for my papers, stamps, and inks.
In future posts I will display some of my work with directions but this is it for right now - I just wanted to get acquainted. If you would like to view some of my creations and learn more about me and my Indiana Inkers please subscribe to my blog on the right.
Thanks for stopping by and we'll chat later,
